After the first of three short cups to decide the twelve teams who get to take part in the first season of the ESL Professional Series here in the UK, four teams have won their places.
Thirty-two teams took place on Sunday evening, and after three rounds, that's twenty-eight matches, only four were left - recently formed teams eMg and sway gaming, Animate, whose core team came second at CLUK21, and Zen, who achieved 7/8th at i34.
There's £15,000 up for grabs in this first UK EPS season for CSS
Statement from Manager Mick "sirmick" Brooke:
We are very pleased with the outcome of the first qualifiers in EPS. We had no doubts at all that the team would perform and secure a place on the first ever ESL pro series. I think the dedication and discipline has really showed in the past month and things are getting better. The lineup has huge potential and we are looking forward to the up and coming months what will really test the lads.
Good luck to all the teams who will be taking part in the EPS!

The CSS team is now complete, unfortunately former player Cathal "Tumbot" Tummon has been removed to make way for two new players; from former team eyegaming - raisins and shadowman.
This leaves the new lineup as:
Aaron "IcE" Fuller
Zak "zT" Thresher
Andi "5fingers" Herrmann
Richard "raisins" Shepherd
Sadegh "Shadowman" Mohammedazdeh
David "hendo" Henderson
Statement from David "VooDou" Jones:
I'm very happy to see the lineup complete, with these two new additions I can see the team going further than they've done before. This team will be attending i35 and future lans together
|
Richard "raisins" Shepherd had this to say:
I'm very pleased to be apart of animate, I know everyone in the team well and have full belief that this team will go far.

It's with great sadness that Animate have released the CSS lineup originally known as Team Vibes. These changes come after recent inactivity and a key fifth departing from the team.
The new CSS lineup join us from Mousetek, who under that name have had great achievements both online and offline, placing second at CLUK21, and 9th-12th at a very challenging i34.
The new lineup is:
David "hendo" Henderson
Cathal "Tumbot" Tummon
Aaron "IcE" Fuller
Zak "zT" Thresher
Andi "5fingers" Herrmann
Seeking a new fifth as replacement of Re1ease's recent departure.
Statement from Hendo:
We are very pleased to be joining Animate and will do our best to achieve the best we can. We feel we are good enough to get decent finishes online and offline and hope to do well under the Animate name. Thanks to the management at Animate for giving us this opportunity.

Statement from VooDou:
We're very pleased to have mousetek joining us, the team have shown a drive to continuously improve and their results have definately shown this. I hope they can really keep up the good work and with our support and relationship, really boost them further.
